We will become warmer with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures will be in the upper 70s. Saturday Night will be mostly clear with some patchy fog. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s.
The weather will drastically go downhill on Sunday. This is thanks to a warm front moving up from the Gulf of Mexico and a disturbance moving over Louisiana. Combined, they will help to set off scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be strong and heavy rain is possible as deep moisture is pumped up from the Gulf. We will be warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s. Sunday Night will be mostly cloudy with a few showers. Lows will be in the mid 60s.
Next Week Outlook: It looks like we will have some pretty unsettled weather next week. The warm front will remain over us on Monday and Tuesday with a few disturbances moving along it. This will give us isolated showers each day. We will stay warm and humid with highs in the lower to mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s.
Wednesday will be a dry day with mostly sunny skies. Highs will stay in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s.
A cold front will move into and through the Baton Rouge area on Thursday. This will tap into the warm and humid air over the state. Highs will be in the upper 70s and it will be much cooler on Thursday Night as the rain ends with lows in the lower 50s.
