A trough of low pressure over Texas will be slowly moving to the east over Louisiana today. This will set off scattered showers over the area throughout the day. We will be breezy, humid and warmer with highs in the mid 70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a few showers as the trough moves east of us. Lows will be in the 60s.
You can expect more rain and some strong to severe storms on Tuesday as a cold front heads our way. Mostly of Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with a few showers. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Then a line of strong to severe storms will move over us from the north between 6 PM and 10 PM. The main threats would be gusty winds and heavy rain. Rain totals around 1-2 inches are possible, but I'm not expect any flooding issues. Tuesday Night will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance for a shower as the cold front slowly moves into the Northern Gulf. Lows will be in the lower 60s.

Wednesday will be a calmer day with partly cloudy skies and a slight chance for a shower as the front stalls in the Northern Gulf. We will not see much of a cool-down behind the front as highs will be in the lower 70s.
A weak area of high pressure will sit just north of us on Thursday and Friday. We will be partly cloudy each day, but there will be a slight chance for a shower. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. Lows will be in the 60s.
