High pressure will remain over the area today, and that means we will have more quiet weather. There is a chance you could smell smoke in the air across the region. This is coming from a marsh fire over Vermilion Parish. We will have winds out of the SW today, and they will help to blow the smoke NE toward Baton Rouge and the Southern New Orleans area. Otherwise, the area of high pressure will keep us sunny, and we will be a little milder thanks to the southerly winds. High temperatures will be in the lower to mid 70s.
Tonight will be mostly clear and we could see a few areas of fog. It will be cool with lows in the 50s on both sides of the lake.

Highs will be in the mid 70s, and lows will be in the 50s.
A weak cold front will move through on Friday. This front will bring us partly cloudy skies along with a shower or two. Highs will be in the lower 70s.
