An area of high pressure will build over us today. This will make us sunny and milder with highs in the upper 60s. Tonight will be clear and not as chilly with lows in the upper 40s north and lower 50s south of the lake.
The area of high pressure will move east across the Northern Gulf of Mexico for the rest of the week. This will bring back onshore or southerly flow over SE Louisiana. That means we will see a warm-up for the rest of the work week. Tuesday through Thursday will be partly cloudy and mild with daily highs in the lower 70s. Lows will be in the 50s on both sides of the lake.
A weak cold front looks to move across the area on Friday. It will bring us partly cloudy skies with just a slight chance for a shower or two. We will stay mild with highs in the lower 70s. Friday Night is a few degrees cooler with 40s north and 50s south.
The weekend will also be slightly cooler with partly cloudy skies on Saturday and highs in the upper 60s. Another cold front is forecast to move through on Sunday. This will will bring us scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 60s.
