The morning fog will give way to sunny skies today as high pressure builds over the Deep South. It will be a mild day with highs in the upper 70s. Tonight will be mostly clear with patchy fog. Lows will be in the upper 40s north and upper 50s south.
The area of high pressure will be east of Louisiana on Thursday and Friday, and this will bring back some southerly winds with warmer temperatures. Each day will have plenty of sunshine with highs in the lower 80s. Lows will be in the 50s north and 60s south.
A strong cold front will move into Louisiana on Friday Night and it will move through New Orleans on Saturday Morning. This front will have isolated shower and storms with it as it moves through. Then it will bring us MUCH COOLER air all weekend. Saturday will start out with a few showers, but then it will become clear and windy by the afternoon. Highs will only be in the mid 60s. Saturday Night will be windy, clear and MUCH COLDER with lows in the upper 30s north and upper 40s south.
High pressure will build over us on Sunday with sunny skies and lighter winds. It will continue to be cool with highs in the lower 60s. Sunday Night will be clear, calm and COLD. Lows north of the lake will be in the mid 30s with PATCHY FROST, and south of the lake will be in the upper 40s.
Get ready for some much cooler and fantastic weather this weekend! -Dave
