The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch until 3 PM for the WBRZ viewing area.
Thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage through the morning and into the afternoon hours ahead of a strong cold front. These storms may rotate and could produce a few tornadoes. The storms could also contain large hail and damaging winds over 60 mph.
On top of the severe weather threats today, we will have have some heavy rain. Rainfall totals could be around 1 to 3 inches. Flash flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
