Today's weather will be very similar to what we saw on Sunday - plenty of clouds mixed with sun along with scattered showers and thunderstorms. These storms are being set off by a weak disturbance/wave aloft. As the wave moves through, it taps into the warm/humid air over us and sets off the storms. The storms could produce some gusty winds and contain heavy rain. Highs today will be in the lower 80s. Tonight will be partly cloudy with patchy fog and a slight chance for a shower. Lows will be in the 60s.
The wave will move east of us on Tuesday, but it will still be close enough to set off spotty showers and storms with mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the lower 80s.
We start to dry out on Wednesday as an area of high pressure aloft moves over the Deep South. This will make it partly cloudy with highs in the lower 80s. The high pressure will sit right over us on Thursday and Friday. This will allow us to see plenty of sunshine along with some warmer temperatures. Highs will be in the mid 80s each day.
Looking ahead to the weekend...a cold front will move into the area on Saturday. It will set off spotty showers and storms ahead of it with highs in the mid 80s. The front will move through on Saturday Night into Sunday Morning. We can expect more rain and storms overnight. Then on Sunday, the rain will end and come cooler air will move in behind this front. Highs will only be in the mid 70s. The cooler and less humid air will be very
