UPDATE: TD 6 has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Fernand based off data from the Hurricane Hunters. It will make landfall in Mexico on Monday.
Winds are sustained at 35 mph, pressure 1006 mb and it is moving to the west at 12 mph. It will track to the WNW and slow down over the next day. TD 6 is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm by Monday before is moves inland near Veracruz, MX, and it would get the name Fernand. Once it moves inland by Monday afternoon/evening it will dissipate and bring heavy rains to Mexico.
This storm will NOT impact Louisiana, so we do not need to worry about it.
Stay tuned to WBRZ, WBRZ.com and my Facebook/Twitter Updates for more on this new system in the Bay of Campeche. -Dave
