Short Term Forecast: We have a pretty pleasant and cool morning across Southeast Louisiana. It is clear with temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Expect another nice day in Baton Rouge! High pressure is just east of Louisiana and that will allow for southerly winds to pump in some more moisture today. This will give us partly cloudy skies along with more humid conditions. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s.
We will have some clouds sticking around tonight and it will be a little muggy. Lows will fall to the lower 60s.
Rest of the Week: An upper-level low will move out of Texas and over Louisiana on Thursday. This low will have plenty of moisture in the low levels of the atmosphere, but it will be very dry aloft. Due to this, we will have a few showers and t'storms popping up. Most of you will not see any rain. Otherwise, we will be partly cloudy, warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s. Thursday Night will be partly cloudy and muggy with lows in the upper 60s.
Some very warm and humid weather will greet us on Friday as high pressure builds back over Louisiana in the wake of the upper-level low. We will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s Friday Night with some fog possible.
Weekend Forecast: Get ready for a taste of Summer this weekend! The area of high pressure will continue to sit over the Deep South and, we will have mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies on Saturday and Sunday. It will be almost hot and very humid with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the lower 70s each day and night.
Enjoy the sunshine and have a good day! -Dave
