Storm Prediction Center issues TORNADO watch until 1 PM for the WBRZ Viewing area!!
A line of showers and thunderstorms will move into Southeast Louisiana this morning. These storms are ahead and behind a strong cold front. The atmosphere ahead of the storms is unstable and that is fuel for the storms.
Not only could these storms produce tornadoes, they can also have damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain. The storms will likely be in a squall line or bowing segments. It is the front end of these where tornadoes could form, but damaging winds would likely be the greater threat.
Stay tuned to my Facebook & Twitter feeds, WBRZ, WBRZ Weather Channel and WBRZ.com for updates & any warnings!
