Showers and thunderstorms are popping up across Southeast Louisiana tonight. They are quickly developing and can be strong to severe. A front is stalled along the Louisiana Coast and disturbances are riding along it. These disturbances are making the atmosphere unstable and that is setting off the storms.
The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds. Hail will be around quarter to half-dollar size. Also, there will be a lot of lightning with any storm.
If a severe storm moves over your area be sure to get indoors immediately! Stay away from windows and watch out for large hail!
