Scattered showers and thunderstorms are moving through Baton Rouge right now and they will continue into Wednesday Morning. They are ahead of a cold front that will move through town on Wednesday. Some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe at times with gusty winds around 40 mph, heavy rain and small hail. Fortunately, only a few storms are expected to get strong.
Rainfall could total around 1-3 inches across Southeast Louisiana. Most of you will likely get around an inch of rain. Those that get more could see some minor flooding in areas that typically hold water. Since it has been very dry lately, the ground will be able to suck up a lot of the rain.
