Short Term Forecast: More chilly weather is greeting us across the
Capital City on this Wednesday Morning. It is mostly clear with
temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s. You will want to take that
jacket with you again!
The disturbance that brought us the high clouds yesterday is moving east of Louisiana, and an area of high pressure is building in behind it. This means that we will have mostly sunny skies this afternoon along with the cool temperatures as northerly winds persist over us. Highs will be in the lower 60s.
Expect mostly clear skies tonight and it is going to be another cold one. Low temperatures will be in the mid 30s. Some patchy frost will be possible.
Rest of the Week: A slow warm-up will begin tomorrow and it will continue into the weekend. We will have a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday with highs in the mid 60s. Thursday Night will be clear and cold with lows near 40.
Friday is shaping up to be a pleasant day with mostly sunny skies. It will be a few degrees warmer as the highs will be in the upper 60s. Friday Night will be mostly clear and chilly with lows in the lower 40s.
Weekend Outlook: The area of high pressure will be located to the east of Louisiana. This will allow some southeast winds to return and they will bring in some slightly warmer air. We will be partly cloudy on Saturday and Sunday as another disturbance moves over Louisiana. This disturbance will not bring us any rain since it does not have any moisture to work with. The temperatures will be comfortable with highs around 70. It will not be as chilly at night with lows in the mid to upper 40s.
Tropical Outlook: All areas of the tropics are quiet and tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Thursday.
Stay warm and have a great day! -Dave
