Short Term Forecast: It is a clear and chilly morning across the Baton Rouge area. Temperatures are in the 40s, so you will probably want to take that jacket with you again.
We will have a nice warm-up in the temperatures this afternoon as high pressure sits over the Southeast U.S. It will be sunny with just a few high clouds streaming across the sky. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
Expect some more chilly temperatures tonight with mostly clear skies. Lows will dip into the upper 40s.
Thanksgiving: Some fantastic weather is expected tomorrow. The area of high pressure will continue to sit over the Southeast U.S. and that means we will have mostly sunny skies with more warm temperatures. Highs will be in the mid 70s. Thursday Night will have a few clouds and it will be a little chilly with lows in the upper 40s.
Black Friday Forecast: Those of you that will get up really early to go shopping will need a light jacket since it will be chilly. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s. During the afternoon a cold front will move closer to Baton Rouge and clouds will be increasing ahead of it. There is a slight chance of a sprinkle, but most of you will not see any rain. It will be warm and a little humid with highs in the mid 70s. Friday Night will become mostly clear and chilly with lows in the mid 40s.
Weekend Forecast: Much colder air will move into Baton Rouge this weekend behind the cold front as an area of high pressure sits over us. We will be sunny and cool on Saturday with highs in the mid 60s. Saturday Night will be clear and pretty cold! Lows will be in the mid 30s. BRRR!!
It will become a little warmer on Sunday as the area of high pressure moves east of Louisiana. A few clouds will also return making it mostly sunny. Highs will be in the upper 60s. Sunday Night will see increasing clouds with a stray shower possible as a cold front moves toward Louisiana. Lows will not be as cold as they only fall to the upper 40s.
Tropical Outlook: Everything is still quiet in the tropics and tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Thanksgiving.
