Short Term Forecast: We have a much warmer start to the day with mostly clear skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.
It is going to be a warmer afternoon thanks to an area of high pressure sitting in the Central Gulf of Mexico. This will allow the winds to come out of the southwest which will pump up moisture over Louisiana. Expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the lower 80s.
Another mild night is on tap with mostly clear skies, but we will have patchy fog forming. It could become dense at times for the Friday Morning commute. Lows will be in the upper 50s.
Friday is going to be another nice and warm day with mostly sunny skies. High tempertures will be in the mid 80s. Friday Night will be mostly clear with some patchy fog. Lows will be in the upper 50s.
Weekend Forecast: Saturday will be another warm one ahead of a cold front. We will be partly cloudy and humid with highs in the lower 80s. Saturday Night will be partly to mostly cloudy with a few showers popping up. Lows will be in the lower 60s.
The cold front will move into and through Baton Rouge on Sunday. It will be partly to mostly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Sunday Night will be mostly cloudy and turning cooler with lows in the mid 50s.
Tropical Outlook: All areas of the tropics are quiet and tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Friday.
