WOW! Hurricane Sandy's is even stronger as the pressure is now down to 940 mb with 90 mph sustained winds, and it is moving faster at 28 mph! Landfall is now expected in South New Jersey later this evening! That is now earlier due to the faster speed. Be prepared! Many coastal areas are already flooded and the worst of the storm surge has yet to come!!!
Things will continue to go downhill through tonight and into Tuesday. Please watch for rising water and the winds are only going to get stronger. Power outages are expected to be widespread along the coastal areas and inland too. The worst will be along the coast, but inland areas are still going to get rocked!

This is a map showing the probability of where tropical storm force winds are likely. Notice how far inland they go! |
Stay safe and aware!! Look for more updates throughout the day. -Dave
