The Nor' Easter is much weaker today, as expected, and it will continue to bring plenty of clouds, scattered showers, some snow and breezy conditions today through Thursday. Then an upper-level low will meet up with the Nor' Easter and this will bring in some stronger winds from the northwest on Friday through the weekend. This next system may hamper some of the storm clean up at the end of the week, and could make it hard for some of the power company's linesmen from getting the power lines up.
Expect power to still be out for days along the New Jersey and New York Coasts. Looking at the photos and video coming out of New Jersey...just amazing damage especially along the coast. Clean up will take weeks and months, and power is expected to be out at least another week, if not longer. Some water still covers the roads, but as the winds turn to the northwest at the end of the week they will push the water back out to sea.
