*Heat Advisory until 7 PM This Evening* It will be very hot and humid today, and we could tie the record high of 97° set back in 1979. The feel like temperatures will be 105-110°. Due to this oppressive heat, the NWS has issued a Heat Advisory until 7 PM tonight for most of SE LA. The coastal areas are not included in the advisory. We will have a slight chance for storms, mainly on the Northshore, today, so there will be some relief from the heat for those areas. Any storm that does develop could be strong with gusty winds, heavy rain and plenty of lightning. remember if you hear thunder, you are close enough to get struck by lightning! Get indoors! High pressure will continue to sit over us for the rest of the week. Each day will have a 20-30% chance of afternoon showers and storms with heavy rain. Highs will be in the mid 90s , and it will feel like 105-110°. Stay cool and hydrated! The weather starts to change...
